The trailer connects to either one and works, it goes up and down. It does make a noise, a loud screeching noise when going up and down. The dump truck doesn't move when you put the batteries in, it makes a growling noise. The tractor does work, you shift and it goes forward or backwards. Both vehicles are approximately 6 inches long and the trailer about 8. They don't seem to have any of the plastic broken.
