The BB403 HJEJLEN is a magnificent 1:33 scale model of the historic Danish steamship. This kit from Billing Boats faithfully reproduces the vessel that made its maiden voyage in 1861, when King Frederick VII sailed from Silkeborg to Himmelbjerget. The ship, built by Baumgartner and Wain, represented a technical marvel at the time, capable of reaching a speed of 8 knots. The model reflects the current appearance of the HJEJLEN, which still sails on the Silkeborg lakes today, with its distinctive permanent roof having replaced the original tall mast and sun sail.
