The Freate Hermione (the name of Elena's daughter, later known by mythology as Elena di Troia and Menelaus) was built in Rochefort (France) in 1779. Ship length: 42 m, width 11 m, speed: 9 -13 knots, crew of about 300 officers and sailors. Armament: 32 cannons, mostly from 12 pounds. As the first French ship, he had the submarine part of the hull covered with copper slabs.
