In December 2024, the IRIAF featured McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II aircraft from the 91st Tactical Fighter Squadron at the biennial Kish Island air show. These Phantoms remain the IRIAF backbone, operated out of Bandar Abbas, and continue showcasing enduring airworthiness amid sanctions.
