Joachim Peiper (30 January 1915, Berlin – 14 July 1976, Traves, France) was a Waffen-SS field officer during World War II. Personal deputy to Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler between April 1938 and August 1941. In 1945 he was the youngest colonel in command of the regiment (Standartenführer) in the Waffen-SS. He was tried for war crimes by the American military tribunal established in Dachau in 1946, for events that occurred in Italy and Belgium. He was found guilty and sentenced to death, although the execution was first suspended and later commuted to a prison sentence. Released in December 1956, he went to live in France. He was murdered in the fire of his house in Traves, as a result of an attack with Molotov cocktails. The classic German panzer outfit is meticulously recreated. Comes.
