With its highly detailed design, it captures the essence of this legendary aircraft. VF-84 was established at NAS Oceana on July 1, 1955. In 1959, VF-61 was also disbanded, so VF-84 Vagabonds were approved in April 1960, continuing the tradition of "Jolly Rogers", becoming the famous VF-84 "Jolly Rogers", soon after their F -8U Crusaders painted with skulls.
